Josephine Granna received her Dipl.-Ing. (equivalent to M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover. She spent 6 month abroad at University of California, Berkeley and worked on a project on Semi-Autonomous Vehicle Driving. The title of her diploma thesis was a "Concept for Patient-individual Electrode Insertion of Cochlear Implants using Tubular Continuum Manipulators". From February 2015 to March 2019, Josephine was research assistant at the Laboratory for Continuum Robotics. Her research is mainly concerned with task-specific optimization of continuum robotics with application to surgery.
